Change in Staff:

It’s with mixed emotions that I must inform you that Kandice Gerdes is leaving the Dual Credit program. On the one hand I’m happy for Kandice because she’s leaving us for a wonderful opportunity; on the other I’m sad because she will really be missed. Kandice’s last day is, August 16th.

Faculty Liaisons Appointed:

All departments that offer dual credit have identified a full time faculty member to serve as liaison. These individuals will be contacting you in the near future either by phone or email to arrange an onsite visit. The purpose of the visit is to insure that the dual credit class meets the same criteria as the on campus class.

Blackboard Training:

We didn’t schedule training this summer partly because of our schedule and partly because of an upgrade to Blackboard. We can schedule a training early in the fall if there is enough interest. If we do it during a contract day for you I can pay for your substitute. Let me know of your interest.

Students Can Now Apply Online!

By following the instructions and submitting UCM's online Undergraduate Application students can apply online. At the end of the online process the student will print out a signature page. Once the teacher receives the signature page they will need to verify GPA and ACT ( English and Math) before forwarding it to the dual credit office. After the dual credit office receives the applications, a roster will be sent to the teacher to verify enrollment.

Another Big Change!

This semester, in order to adhere to UCM security guidelines, students will receive access information to their MyCentral account via U.S. Postal mail. The students will receive two Dual Credit envelopes clearly marked (in red ink). The first envelope will contain user log in information and the second one will have their password and instructions for MyCentral.

MyCentral is where students have a direct link to Blackboard, e-mail, bill payment, and transcript request forms. Please inform your students of the change so they know what to expect.

Textbook Inventory Update

As the summer comes to an end, we are concluding our textbooks inventory. We would like to send a big THANK YOU out to everyone who returned books on time and allowed us to have a successful inventory.

Books are being returned to you. Upon receipt of the books you will notice that all of the books have an inventory number stamped in the inside cover. This inventory number will be used to verify receipt and movement of textbooks.
